I am currently thinking about taking a huge, I mean HUGE risk, consisting of packing up my things and leaving my life behind to move to a place I've been wanting to move to for the past two years. This place happens to be tens of thousands miles away, but something inside of me tells me it is for the best. But until I actually do it, I won't know. Hopefully soon I will be posting on this very thread about my successful decision.
Wow, I'm basically going through the same thing.....

I've grown up here in San Diego all my life, and I'm basically tired of it. The people here are incredibly shallow and superficial. People have gotten more and more inconsiderate over the years. This used to be a very cool place to live, but now I'm just tired of it.

My chapter is showing little signs of improvement. 95% of my chapter believes that a fraternity is JUST about partying and nothing else.

So, I want to go to a school in a town that's really relaxed and laid back, and we have a great chapter there that actually believes in the ritual and operates like a model chapter.

The only problem is I, like SATX A PHI, would be leaving my entire life behind. It's just been me and my mom since I was 12, and leaving her down here and going 6 hours away is going to be the hardest thing I'm ever going to do.

I'm not sure I'm going to get in to this school anyway, but if I do, the move and adjustment would be the biggest obstacle of my life.
