I feel like that teacher on South park, "Drugs are baaad."
Personally, I've seen the damage that drugs can cause up close. I haven't used illegal drugs because, like many people in the US and presumeably on GC, a family member's life has been devastated. The thing is he didn't use drugs regularly. He had only tried drugs a few times in reaction to peer pressure and his own curiosity. He had a terrible reaction, wound up hospitalized for months, and still carries the scars to this day. It is very sad. He had shown so much promise, and it is gone. This happened before I was a teenager so he was a cautionary tale to me. That's not to say that everyone who uses drugs will have a lifetime of medical and health problems, but why tempt fate? Nobody knows how his or her body will react to any drug, so why risk it?
I think that
UF_Pike's intention in this thread was to educate people who use GHB about the potential health problems and risks associated with it. It's sort of a GHB public service announcement. I really don't think that this thread glorifies drug use or encourages anyone to start using drugs.
UF_Pike I'm sorry about your friend. I hope that she makes a full recovery.
