If you have genuine love in your heart for AKA, then in my opinion it should not matter where you pledge. I knew since high school that I wanted to be an AKA and nothing would or could discourage my decision. If the chapter where I pledged was not "all that", I would still have done it anyway because my reasons for pledging were sincere.

If you decide to pledge and become a member of that chapter, then you can work from within to make it better and stronger. Maybe you can bring some creativity and new ideas to the chapter. If you believe you will be an asset to the organization, then use your leadership abilities to make a difference. A chapter can only be as strong as its members. You have to be willing to make a difference.
