vice archon

Hi everyone,

well we had nominations for Eboard tonight and I had sworn to myself that the only position I would even think about accepting a nomination for would have been Scribe. I was founding MOC (now SDC) and was Archon last academic year so I've really missed eboard this last year but at the same time its been nice just being on Exec Council as Alumnae Chair. I had especially said the one position on eboard I would never want to do was Vice Archon.

As you can guess I was nominated for Vice Archon (and Scribe too). After the person I nominated and almost everyone else that was nominated for VA declined the nomination I decided to keep my name in the running. The other sister is one of our members that was initiated at the end of October. Even though she's only just accepted her first e-council position I have no doubt that she would be able to handle VA duities and yet at the same time I'm hesitant since she hasn't held an eboard position before. My mother did point out to me as Founding sisters none of us had experience and yet we were all chosen for Eboard positions and I thought that was a very good point.

I would definitely be able to work great with either of the two sisters who were nominated for Archon. In fact one of them, the current Archon, was my Vice Archon when I was Archon. I guess I'm just sounding off here trying to figure out if I do want to keep my name in the running for VA or just Scribe (I already turned down Tribune as I take horrible minutes/notes).

Anyone out there who is Vice Archon - how stressful is/was it. What are your thoughts on it. And if you've been Archon and VA which did you actually find the most stressful? thanks for listening/reading.

LITP,
Carolyn

p.s. we just got the cutest tshirts to wear to division conference tomorrow. Its the greek letters but the round portion of the Phi is a heart shape. Our school name is below the Phi Sig Sig and then LITP in small letters below that.
