As an alum, I, too, find it hard to find "appropriate" times to wear my badge. Anytime I'm dressed up for church (I often perform at churches around town) I try to wear it. But that's really it. I dress up for work, but I deal DIRECTLY with the public, and in my position I don't feel it's appopriate. If I were in an office, I would likely feel differently.
My other problem is that our badges are all yellow gold, and I *never* wear yellow gold.. always white gold and/or silver. And I don't like to "mix" the two.
So I consulted with my national council.. and they OK'd me (and anyone) getting a white gold badge!

I just ordered it yesterday & have to wait a painful 6 weeks, but I'll be wearing that EVERY chance I get!
AOII silver- I think that's awesome that you have that old badge from the alumnae. It sounds like it went to the perfect person!
