I only got to see a few of the performances so the ones I saw were Nelly's, Faith Hill's, Eminem's, and Norah Jones.
I think Norah Jones did a great job. I don't really like her song or her music but compared to the other performances, I think her's was great.
Nelly's was really bad. I think part of the problem was that Kelly Rowland was wearing these 8 ft. stiletto heels. She couldn't move. You could tell she was having a lot of trouble walking in them. I'm guessing Nelly didn't want to jump all around the stage and just have Kelly standing there because she couldn't move. It just made the performance look bland.
Eminem's was ok. I've seen him do a lot better.
What was up with Faith Hill's performance???? She sounded like a cat in heat. There has never been a live performance of her's that, in my opinion, sounds good. She then had to go and pick a song like 'Cry' which is in a very high octave and requires a really powerful voice. She just couldn't pull it off. I think she should've chosen an easier song or brought the song down an octave. Even Celine Dion, who can actually sing, will sometimes bring her songs down an octave when in concert to prevent the possibility of her not hitting the notes and sounding like she is screeching.
