Well the boy has agreed to come with me (isn't that nice of him) as long as he can get a job...which may prove harder than me getting into grad school. This, of course, does not make his parents happy, but they can get over it. They want him to come back to NJ.
My mom is excited for me, but she just wishes I wasn't going so far away. Typical mom! It reminds of a time during my senior year of HS - we were cooking dinner and she started crying. When I asked what was wrong, she said, "I just know that when you graduate and move out, you're never going to come back!" And, well, she's probably right, but I promised I would visit A LOT. My dad and stepmom are psyched b/c now they have an excuse to visit the Bay Area. My sisters (both real and Zeta) see it as a good excuse to come visit Cali, too.
Oh yeah, I will working towards a PhD in geology, specializing in geophysics and remote sensing...god, that makes me sound like the biggest nerd!!
