My undergraduate chapter has given away 16 or 32 oz cups withthe rush schedule printed on it, we got a bookstore to put their logo on the back and they covered the cost of it since they cant by state law give anythign out or solicit on campus. Only student groups can do so.

This past fall the undergraduates gave out bottles of water with the chapter logo (being a graphic artist and having worked in marketing, not only do we have a national identity (letters and COA) but we also have chapter stationary, and a logo.) Anyway, the water was in 16.9 oz sizes (.5 liter) and had the logo and schedule on it. They gave away a little more than a pallate (96 cases/ 24 per case) at dorm move in and the first two weeks of school. We didnt see a marked increase in number of men who rushed, but it was GREAT for PR. Come on, FREE water in South Texas, in AUGUST! Its like 120 here then. It went fast. It was awesome to walk around campus and see our letters, and logo EVERYWHERE. Everyone knew who we were. (Not that they didnt before) but it was cool seeing professors walk into a class, carrying your water, then lookign at the other greeks and seeign the looks on their faces. Even better, seeign the ATO's or Sig Eps at their rush tables drinkign our WATER.

Since my co. does the water thing (as part of the marketing firm), the undergrads got it at cost. So it was cool.
