If you have time, drive across the Golden Gate Bridge or take a boat from Fisherman's Wharf over to Sausalito for lunch or drinks (hope I spelled that right). It's a fun ride if it's not too cold.
There is a great view of the city (take your camera) from the TV tower site at Mt. Sutro.
