Okay, let me attempt to condense three years in one post
...
I met my (now) best guy friend like three weeks into my freshman year. A girl I used to be friends with, who had a thing for him, introduced us. I few months later, I started to kinda crush on him. I never said anything because he was always dating one girl or another but all our guy friends started picking up on it. By sophomore year (when I joined AGD), I had a huge thing for him and we were very flirty...always play fighting and giving each other massages and stuff. Everyone could tell I had a thing for him but he was clueless.
Then that December I got up the nerve to kiss him and he just stared at me and I kinda tucked my head under his chin because I didn't know what to say. I stayed at his place that night and the next morning he was acting like nothing happened. I couldn't tell if that was a good/bad thing. Two days later he asks me over to talk and he asks me (and this is was his quote) "what the heck was that about?" So I say something like: nevermind, it was stupid...and he goes into this whole speech about how he doesn't want to screw up our friendship, but then he tells me that he had though about us hooking up the year before but he never said anything!!! Come to find out from one of his good friends, one of my sisters had told him how I felt.
So, after a couple of months I got over him and I went a whole year without wanting more than a friendship with him, which brings me to about a month ago. I take my friend (AGD from another chapter) up to school for a party at one of my sister's house. We stop at this guy's frat house first (she's met him, but very briefly). When we leave his place, she looks at me and asks what is going on between me and this guy. I told her the whole story and she decides that we are meant for each other and we have to be together. I told her it wasn't like that between us, but she teases me about him frequently and now I've started thinking about him more than I should.
What is that about? Do you think it's just a nostalgia thing?
