PACE ideas
My chapter doesn't do loyalty circles anymore, but we do long PACE programs once a month (at least). Here's some of the ones we do:
Before recruitment: pre-recruitment workshop (not including your Recruitment work week!) as a finishing touch for recruitment.
First quarter/semester of the year: Alcohol and Drug awareness (I believe this is required by IH).
Get your campus career center to host a PACE meeting about on and off campus internships, the services offered by your career center, and interviewing/resume skills.
Kickboxing! This is so much fun!
We've done a PACE in the past where after meeting (which is on-campus), we walk all over campus with the Campus Safety Escort Service and learn which routes are safest, most well-lit, etc. VERY helpful to first-year students!
Time management PACE (you may want to include this with the career one mentioned above)
Especially helpful for seniors: have a PACE that informs the members about graduate school- applications, testing (GRE if it's offered in Canada), timelines, how to write a good admissions statement, etc. If you have the Princeton Review or Kaplan in your area, they sometimes will do presentations.
As a general idea- invite one or more chapters to some of your PACEs. We used to invite fraternities to the alcohol awareness one all the time. And it shows great Panhellenic unity when you invite all the other chapters to any PACE, considering we're the only chapter with that program.
Hope this helped!
