For those who don't know, a quick course in 'Aggie 101' (Kitso -- or any other Aggie -- please correct me if I'm wrong... even though I may be a Sooner, but we share a burning hatred of that den of teasippers over at t.u. in Austin! (At least during football season) ) Bonfire is a hallowed tradition at A & M, especially when the Aggies play those teasippers in Austin. That's after we give the Sips a good thrashing in the Cotton Bowl so A & M can finish 'em off!

A gigantic bonfire was built and burned the night before the big game. Tragically, in 1998 the bonfire collapsed while it was being built, killing about a half dozen students. The school officially no longer sanctions the Bonfire, though die-hard alumni keep the tradition going, even if off school property.
