Baby Boom: Sources say that Claudette Ortiz, a member of the Wyclef Jean-produced trio City High, is pregnant. Reps for the singer confirm that she is pregnant, but won’t disclose who the father of the child is. Sources proclaim that they are certain that Ortiz is not pregnant by Jean, however, I do recall that the singer once dated one of her City High cohorts.
“The Parker’s” co-star Countess Vaughn is expecting her first child too. The actress is just starting to show and is approximately four and five months. Vaughn is also a newlywed – she married a Los Angles-based electrician named Joseph last July. In other news, “The Parkers” just closed their syndication deal. It was a multiple network deal, with one of the networks being BET. So let’s just say that with the syndication checks Vaughn receives from both “Moesha” and now “The Parkers,” this baby will be spoiled rotten!
Talk about fireworks, Deborah Cox’s due date for her first child is on the 4th of July. That’s right; Canadian-bred Cox is slated to have her baby on Independence Day.
