yes, most of us know what organization prettygyrl is interested in, but some don't. Except for people who have their orgs name in their screen name, I know I personally don't keep track or what org they are in. Let's not forget that.
I respect that the members of BGLOs do not want to answer this question from the NPHC standpoint. That's perfectly acceptable and understandable. However, prettygyrl did not state which group she wanted an answer to. In the NPC, the answer to this question is not privileged information, in fact, we encourage people asking this question BEFORE they make a commitment. AlphaChiGirl did not say that her answer is the only answer. And AXOAlum handled it well by stating that people can email her. They were not saying that CrimsonTide and Bklyndelta et al were WRONG, only that they would be happy to supply information regarding their own situation and organization.
If they hadn't answered the post for GLOs, someone else probably would have posted the exact same question seeking the answer from the NPC standpoint. This way, both bases are covered. I think everyone understands that the NPHC considers this private information and the NPC considers it public.
If someone thinks that it is appropriate to answer a question with regards to their own organization, go for it. If you think it is not appropriate, simply say so.
Please don't respond negatively to this. We now understand everyone's viewpoint. When answering a question on this board, just mention whether it is only associated with your org, council/conference, or school or if it stands true for EVERY org (which is probably hard to do). That will make it easier for everyone to understand. Thanks everyone!
