First of all, MSSTCY1 had some awesome ideas! I like the email idea especially! Another thing you can do, and this is easy at retreats, is a fireside. Just sitting around with your chapter with pillows, blankets, snacks and PJs and talking about your favorite experience with your chapter, or why you joined your chapter as opposed to another, or just talking about your life at that time can really help you bond with your sisters. We had a retreat once where everyone wrote a secret about themselves on a piece of paper, we shuffled them in a hat and everyone picked one. We would go one-by-one and read the secrets and everyone would get to guess who it was. This was really helpful in getting to know the wild side of some of my sisters. I never would have guessed some of the things that were written about certain individuals!
My chapter, as well as many Gamma Phi chapters, does love notes. We do them for our little sisses especially. Everyone writes a personalized note to each little (or senior, or rush group member depending on what we're doing at that time) telling them why they are so amazing. I have a book that my big gave me and all my love notes from rush, senior bye-bye weeks, my new member period, and just random notes are in the book. I cherish that book like you wouldn't believe!
Hope these ideas help!
