I was accepted to all of my choices.
My first choice was Howard, but it was too far away. I wouldn't be able to come home "all" the time.
That changed my mind QUICKLY, even though I had relatives in the area.
I attended Grambling because my father was a die-hard alumnus, so I did it to honor him and his family's legacy. It made me feel good (very comforting) to know that I was walking the same streets that he did as student. Now, I have that SAME passion about Grambling like he did.
It was AWAY from home, but close enough as to where I could get home as often as I wanted.
I don't regret the decision that I made.
