kateshort is right, and so is CarolinaCG -- the operative point is "it's impossible to be in two different [NIC] fraternities"
at the same time. However, XYZ fraternity may initiate a man who was previously initiated into ABC fraternity
if the national office of ABC writes to XYZ and informs XYZ that the man in question is no longer considered a member of ABC.
