American Girl Scout cookies taste different from Canadian Girl Guide ones because it has something to do with the sugar content and something to do with the different cocoa grades used in the chocolate.

As a matter of fact, you can even taste the difference between Canadian Oreos and US Oreos, and in Canadian Kit Kats versus American ones.

I finally tasted some Canadian Girl Guide thin mints, and they're pretty good, especially if you keep them in the freezer!

You generally have to pre-order Girl Scout cookies, but if you can find a Girl Scout shop in Seattle, they may have some for sale. When I was in university, there was a Girl Scout office right across the street from campus..and I used to wonder how I gained so much weight!
