I don't think any of those people were fake - some folks just have a)high self esteem and/or b)coping mechanisms that allow them to maintain false images of themselves - even in the face of "adversity" (i.e. never making it past any auditions).

I felt bad for Cedie..I hope he made it home ok (but why would you travel to an audition and not have a round trip ticket? Even if he had won he wouldn't have gone straight to Hollywood??)
@ Eclipse - I thought that was hysterical when they showed leaves changing, the sun setting and the baby making faces while ole girl mangled that song (she was singing the song in an exaggerated slow tempo - felt as if seasons was changing then the tv read my mind and went there....classic AI).
Tone deafness is a serious ailment...go to any karaoke bar and listen...I swear my cousin calls every dog in a 10 block radius everytime she sings
but because she has such great stage presence they keep calling her back for more - gassing her head up ridiculously
! (I said something once..was called a hater...so you know what..go on ahead and embarass yourself
