Congratulations on your interest in Chi Omega and joining the Greek Community.
I think you will find the University's Panhellenic Webpage useful (that's just my guess) as far as times of rush and more information on each sorority.
The Chi Omega National website is in fact a wonderful tool to understanding the main ideals of our sorority, but it is important to remember that each chapter is different and has it's own impact.
I for one would have never thought of myself as a "sorority girl" (I still don't). But the feeling I got from Chi Omega showed me that in fact I can belong to a sorority and still keep my morals and values. Chi Omega stresses the individual. For that reason, I chose to go Chi-O.
But that may not always be the case for different people. Some may be legacies for other chapters and feel at home (or not at home) there too. So really, when choosing a sorority, go through the recruitment process with an open mind. Perhaps make a list of things YOU feel are a must in a sorority. Then see which ones meet that criteria ONCE you meet them.
Best of luck! We'll all be rooting for you either way!
