There's a couple of dozen people starting to show up at our house to camp out and comment on the show every week. I admit it, I'm a "reality" (sic) show junkie. Evidently, so are a ton of my and my husband's coworkers. <G>
This particular show has an advantage: even if the "winner" is someone you absolutely hate, you can watch them show their true colors when the "sorry, he's not a millionare after all, dear" bomb drops. So there's always something to look forward to, one way or the other.
Re: FOX catering to the stereotype that women are mean, catty, bitchy, etc. Welp, some stereotypes remain pretty close to reality. Doesn't take much to figure out that women who "compete" for a man on national TV are going to have fangs and claws. If the contestants and audience weren't there for it, FOX would be SOL and would have to dredge up another idea. It's not like FOX has ever been a bastion of good taste, anyway.
