My husband spotted for me as my "partner-dance parnter" during half-time shows in college, and we competed in "pairs" in sanctioned state, sanctioned regionals, and unsanctioned national-ish competitions in 2001. For old people, we did really well (5th in regionals and 2nd in state). One day her told me, "I am NOT going to learn how to do a front walk-over..don't even ask."
