I personally think brands are unappealing. I do, however, like tattoos, but to me there's just nothing attractive about a big old burn scar on someone's body. The article was pretty interesting, though.
I wouldn't say it's hazing in these cases because the people (at least in the article) decided on their own to do it. I wonder, though, how often it happens that people are pressured into it. That would be awful.
