I was on the AU campus when they came and for awhile afterwards. I don't think it was DG's fault that they folded. Another sorority had just folded and it seemed like Auburn just said, "Wow, we need to keep our GLO numbers up," and called DG. Now here's the part no one understood--at least 5 sororities that I remember weren't anywhere near making quota or total and one more was especially bad off....why did they add another one? On top of that, Auburn is one of those campuses with years of tradition and you had, at the time, most of the rushees fixating on being in one of 6 sororities...if they didn't get one of those, they transferred.

It's a different story now; there's more parity in the system and almost everyone took quota (which was 63) this year. Here's hoping that DG makes a big splash!
