My chapter has a beautiful house that wass the former house of the French diplomat to Los Angeles in the 1800's. All the sororities and frats at USC have a house either on "the row" or barely off of it. However, we are the only chapter that owns our house, all the rest are owned by the university. We also have a fairly large lawn that is really nice. I love having a house, and especially a historic one because it feels like a home and there is always room for whoever is there to just chill whether they liive in the house or not. Plus, having a house also means getting a nice cook, having a security guard, and having a secret, secure place to have our meetings. All in all, it is actually cheaper to live in our house than to live in campus housing at USC . But then again, I think at USC where all the chapters are so large it would be impractical to have anything other than houses.
