There was hazing in the '70s - it wasn't hidden
I remember visiting the Theta Chi-Auburn chapter in the early '70s, and they were hazing and including pictures of the pledges suffering in the scrapbook which laid on the living room table.
Specificly the pledges were pictured with crap being dumped on them, being sprayed with hoses, and laying in the pool/fountain by the front door.
(Somehow my use of laid and laying seem grammatically deficient. This should not be blamed on any profs at Indiana Univ.)
