I just spent an entire day seaching for fragrances for Christmas. Now, much $ later, I have just purchased:
For two great aunts:
St. John's by Marie Gray (I have this one as well)
Created by Marie Gray in 1994, St. John is a luxurious, oriental, floral fragrance. This feminine scent contains a blend of flowers of the orient combined with honeysuckly, jasmine and gardenia, with lower notes of amber, apricot, sandalwood, and musk. St. John is recommended for romantic occasions.
and
Oscar De La Renta (old school I know, but so is she)
For myself:
Champs-Elysees (one of my favorites)
GUERLAIN created CHAMPS ELYSEES in 1996. It is the result of the following top fragrance Notes: bergamot, jasmine and orange. The middle notes are: peach, freesia and lemon and the base of the fragrance is: rose amber and musk. CHAMPS ELYSEES is recommended for casual use.
and, one I'm taking a risk on by buying without ever smelling it on myself (but I love gardenia so, here it goes):
Marc Jacobs for women
Marc Jacobs interprets Gardenia. Blend: Floral. Notes: Gardenia, Wild Muguet, Skin Musk, Cedar, Ginger. Style: A blend that is lush and watery at once.
For that special guy:
Swiss Army
SWISS ARMY designed SWISS ARMY in 1998. Its fragrant nature explores essences of mint, bergamot and lavender. Blended with notes of ylang-ylang, moss and cedar, SWISS ARMY is a casual fragrance.
Others I'm smelling this weekend (if the counter is not TOO crowded) based on some recommendations:
J. McClintock
Trish M. #3, #9
Chanel #19
Jaipur Saphir
