I can see both sides of the issue.
The DU house was there before the law was changed, I don't know how long before people started moving there. Maybe the families who are the most vocal lived in the neighborhood before the DUs moved in? I'm not sure. But, they have a certain legacy being there, and I'm sure they want to be where they consider "home".
But, they endangered the residents of that neighborhood. I don't know how much you all know about houses in that part of Massachusetts, but most are of wood construction, and built pretty closely together. One house fire can really start a big neighborhood fire. Their fire, unlike a lot of other ones which plague houses, was based on negligence. If they are as bad as their neighbors said they are, and their carelessness endangered the neighborhood, I would want them out too.
Wonder how things will turn out.
