No, PM Mama I do not know you, and you do not know me. If you are as direct in real life as you are on GC about your biases, one of two things would happen. Either you would hate me and label me a militant for strongly disagreeing with you, or you would learn to respect me and my experiences, and perhaps become somewhat more open-minded. On GC, you clearly have written me off. Whatever, that's fine. But your token minority friends do not take away from your prejudice, nor do they prove otherwise, no matter HOW vehemently you believe it. Prejudiced people CAN have friends of another race. It is called SURVIVING. Minorities in this country have to do it, and believe me, there is plenty of prejudice in the minority community as well.

As for the topic, you know, it is funny about the people that did not catch PM Mama's remark about fair skinned and blue eyes, or whatever it was. Maybe y'all feel the same way and that's why you guys are getting defensive about it. If the customs lady was a "bia" then she was a "bia." But I think in the original post, PM Mama was more concerned with being profiled (and equating that with rude behavior) than anything else. Then when people started calling her on it, she tried to change it up. It's all good though.

What the hell is that comment about? Sweety, I can survive with only "white" friends. I CHOOSE to be friends with these people. Since when did having friends of a different race be added to the Hierarchy of Needs? Oh my lord! My -insert race- friends hate me now. OMG I gota go out and find me some more -insert race- friends before I can't survive anymore!

I have admitted to being prejudiced... and I flat out said that it was about people like you who tear apart posts to find the one little non-PC comment. I am not prejudiced to all members of different races, so leave your Al Sharptonisms out of this.

As for the topic of this thread, it was a vent about how much of a flat out bitch this lady was to us. And I have respected everyone's inputs about how this lady was doin her job. No matter how many times you keep saying that the point of this thread was about naming what my friend looked like, IT'S NOT! Dayum, get a life! Do you look this far into things all the time?

Why am I over-reacting to this? Cuz just as I'm sure anyone, I don't like being called something I'm not. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if people were calling you certain things.

And I'm sure you're gona mention something about me and my affiliation. You have before. Well, go ahead. My viewpoints don't mirror viewpoints of my chapter sisters, nor my national sisters. If you think I'm that prejudiced? Give me a sister of mine who is "not white". Until I realize she acts like you and a few random others on this board, I will embrace her as my sister.
