What hotdamn is saying is correct also. First Founder like that is a labor of love, if he has totally lost contact he may have parted with the chapter on some bad terms. Meaning some bad relationships. Sometimes a primary founder might not be well liked.

Maybe you were successful in contacting him, thorough e-mailing all those guys of the same name...... but he's not ready to come back, for whatever reason. If he's not keeping in touch with his chapter brothers, this might be the case.
I agree with keeping up with the alumni, though -- if he DOES come back into contact with him, they'll let him know you're looking for him.
