Pink Bunny,
I think that I was misunderstood when I said I recieved an invitation, please let me clarify. YOUR chapter may not recruit and the organization as a WHOLE may mandate that you do not recruit, however, where I went to school, they DID recruit. Just not formally.
AKA wasn't (and still isn't) chartered on our campus, this left them open to do whatever they wanted and freed from following the regulations of the PHC and campus rules regarding rush and its publicity. They did not post any information regarding their informational meetings. The only way one would even know about the informational meeting was if they were invited or told by an exisiting AKA member.
In that respect, I was invited because they did not tell every woman that met the basic requirements about their meetings. I did not mean that I received a "bid" of sorts... especially since your entire process of member selection is different. I would never try to act like I got a "bid" (I don't know what else to call it) from your sorority and act like I didn't want it, like the sorority or whatever. To do so would be phony and completely undermine my loyalty to my sisters, something which I would not do. The last thing I am trying to do is "decieve" people. I am sorry if it came off that way.
