I've got a few questions. How far away would you like to go? What kind of a college experience are you looking for--small town, big city, tropical beaches?
Are you looking for a Greek system that dominates the social life of the campus, or maybe where there are other social distractions? Also, what's your major? You should pick a school that has a good program for you.
If you decide that big city life is for you, I'd urge you to check out San Francisco State (my beloved alma mater!). The city is our campus, and you will NEVER run out of social things to do there. Delta Pi chapter is very strong and visible on campus. They are extremely diverse racially, ethnically and religiously. You won't have a problem finding your place there.
But let's not put the cart in front of the horse. First you need to figure out what kind of a college experience you're looking for...*then* look for the right campus and chapter!
