Guess what? Being a lawyer doesn't guarantee a six-figure income.
"So, you're going to law school to follow in your parents footsteps?"
Nope. I'm going because I think I want to be a lawyer.
"If your degree is in information systems, why are you in law school?"
Because I want to do intellectual property law and I figure the tech background would be a plus. Also, the job market sucks right now.
"Why are you an only child?"
If you were meant to know the reasons why, my parents would have cleared it with you. Otherwise, its none of your business.
"How come you only mention your mom? Are your parents divorced?"
Actually, no, my dad died when I was 14, thanks for bringing it up. Would you like to hear the story of how it all happened? I love to talk about the day my father died, pretty much while I watched.
