If he is going to kill you he will. No one wants a murder rap so if you fight back I doubt you would get killed. Plus these guys don't seem like killers by what you described but yah never know. Just look all around before you get out of the car. And if you do see some one you are afraid of, set off your car alarm if you have one. That would scare him away.
