Stevie Wonder’s is mad at his mom. Stevie’s mom, Lula Hardaway, has written a book about her life and Stevie. Stevie is upset about some of the contents of the book and he wants nothing to do with it. The book, “Blind Faith: The Miraculous Journey of Lula Hardway” is out in stores now. In the book, Lula talks about Stevie losing his virginity to a prostitute and how Stevie’s father beat her and forced her into prostitution.
What’s up with Toni Braxton’s looney behavior. Her latest CD, “More Than a Woman” is not living up to its expectations and friends say she is feeling the stress. During a recent interview on the Wayne Brady Show, Toni went on and on about her record company being mad at her for getting pregnant again and how the baby almost aborted itself twice. Wayne was very uncomfortable during the conversation and tried to talk about other subjects.
Michaels Jordan’s former mistress is talking about their relationship. Karla Knafel is suing the basketball superstar for five million dollars. She says he promised her this money. Michael is already suing her for extortion and now she is talking. Karla claims their affair started three months after his wedding to his wife Juanita. She says Michael considered Juanita the hired help and their marriage was a business arrangement so he could maintain a good public image. She also says they had a child together but the child was born stillborn.
Remember the 70’s TV Series Starsky and Hutch. Well a remake is in the works. In the original series, Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul played the two detectives who fought crime and maintained a strong friendship. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson will star in the new version and Snoop Dog will play the role made famous by Antonio Fargas. Snoop is going to play the pimp, Huggy Bear. Huggy Bear was always on the scene helping the detectives out.
Luther Vandross is teaming up with Beyonce for a song called Dangerously in Love that will be on her new album.
Wedding bells may be ringing soon for LA Lakers star Shaquille O’neal. The lucky lady
is his longtime love and between them they have 5 kids.
After her drunk driving arrest Queen Latifah could lose her drivers license. Last week, Queen Latifah was driving in her 2003 Cadillac Escalade when police notice she was making unsafe lane changes. She failed a sobriety test and she was arrested. This comes at a very unfortunate time for Queen Latifah. She is currently co-starring in the movie Brown Sugar and in late December she has a featured role in the movie Chicago. This isn’t the first time Queen Latifah has been in trouble with the law back in 1996 she was caught with a loaded gun and marijuana. Queen Latifah can also be seen in the new Cover Girl Ad Campaign and on the cover of Heart and Soul Magazine. She looks good. In the article she talks about her weight loss.
Reverend Jesse Jackson is being sued. A group called African Americans Against Exploitation say Jesse is a fraud and they want a restraining put in motion to keep Jesse from saying he represents the Black Community.
A trial date has been set for January 21st for Singer Bobby Brown. A Georgia Judge has refused to dismiss a 1996 D-U-I charge. Earlier this month Bobby was arrested for possession of marijuana.
According to published reports, the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, is sick. James is a diabetic and he is suffering from poor circulation. Friends say he could lose his legs. For years he ignored his diabetes and his health because he hates doctors. James recently suffered a painful fall and he injured his ankle. He’s due to perform New Years Eve in Atlantic City at the Trump.
Comedian Eddie Griffin recently left one of his baby mammas at the altar.
Eddie was supposed to get married on Nov. 16th to Rochelle Lynne who is the mother of his six month old daughter. Eddie backed out of the wedding claiming he had to work but sources say Eddie is just a party boy who is always looking for a new woman. Eddie has five children all under the age of six. Three of them by ex-girlfriends, one by an ex-wife.
