We should demand personal responsibility from all those who live in, benefit from or affiliate with our communities. A person should be judged by their actions, not by their childhood hardship story, exentuating circumstances, etc. In other words, STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND BE REAL MEN AND WOMEN!
Every child should be given access to a challenging, rigorous, quality education and be told that their family and the community expects more of them than drug dealing, becoming teenaged parents of kids they can't/won't assume responsibility for, or any type of failure, for that matter. Kids rise to the levels of expectation you set for them. To hell with the "gub'ment" conspiracy theories, let's get up off our butts and do something with these (our) kids!
