Good afternoon brothers of A Phi A. I rarely post on other fraternities boards, but the topic is one of great interest and one that has implications for all of us as African American men.
While I didn't agree with everything that the brother did, and I damn sure don't agree with his views with regard to Khalid Mohammad, one has to look at the fact that America still fears African American men. When we are not docile, and cater to thier needs and wants, and visions about how we should conduct ourselves, we are seen as trouble makers, and often find ourselves outside of the mainstream. That is basically what happened on the show last night. He was cast out becuase of his inability to toe the line that white people feel that we should.
Although I think that he was purposefully rude on a few occasions, it was Americas fear of a strong black man, that was his undoing last night.
Peace be unto you brothers
