I see your points, but initially you weren't referring to what the MEDIA portrays. You said LIGHTSKINNED black women think they are prettier than darker shaded black women. That's putting the emphasis on the women themselves and not on the portrayals by the media.

So, to that I disagree. Or, I disagree with such a generalization...I find it more appropriate to say that society has it so that some lighter black women think they are prettier than darker black women simply because of the shade of their skin.
