Honestly, I don't believe she is trying to find out the truth. If she is, she isn't doing a very good job of presenting it to us because, as I and others have mentioned, her "proof" is full of holes. All she has said is that UF Pike said his name was X, then he said his name was Y, and some guy who supposedly was the president of a Pike chapter is going to confirm that Y is or was a member. What does that prove? In my opinion, nothing. It doesn't prove that UF Pike is X or is Y or is anything.
I'm assuming that UDZETA is a college student. It may sound like I'm being harsh, but as someone who is a bit older and with more experience in life, I am actually trying to demonstrate to her that presenting "proof" that really isn't and then saying that (because of said "proof") anyone deserves an apology is not going to fly in the real world. If you're going to say that you have proven something, you better have the evidence to back it up, and I don't think she has presented any compelling evidence to back up her assertion.
I'm all for people defending principles, but if you're going to do it, do it right. That's all I'm saying. I'm also just wondering why UDZETA chose to devote so much time an energy to this particular "principle" as well. If she's going to start a whole thread about it, I think it's a fair question for me to ask.
I also still want to know if she sent his name to Pike headquarters, and what they had to say about it.
And for the record, I have already said that I don't care if he's a Pike and I find him offensive. But that doesn't mean that UDZETA has proven anything.
