Don't forget that just because one friend is a piece of ass to him, doesn't mean all friends are.
Its all in how you present yourself.
How do you know that she didn't throw herself at him or make her intentions seem purely sexual? It takes two.
There's an equal chance that he'll do the same thing to you he did to her. Anytime you do things w/friends and you know history about them, its a gamble.
Basically, Its possible that he could be just using you as some goal he's trying to obtain, but its also totally possible that he's legit.
I'd say don't shut the door completely, but keep your eyes open for guys with cleaner slates.
