exactly! this is why i enjoy seeing undergraduate step teams so much (versus grad chapter and more professional step teams). the very fact that undergraduate step teams have SO much to balance out and multi task shows hard work and dedication.

But when the performance i is excellent - even beyond what you expected, all the hard work, sacrifice (you might practice 4-6 hours on some nights), and emotions that go into the practice make it worth it. The biggest sacrifice in stepping: balancing practices (usually at night) in a schedule that includes academics, other activities (because you can't excel only in your sorority/fraternity), and community service.
