I think you should definately take advantage of the offer from the other two groups. In COR the hardest part is often find the women to come to the events and then getting them to show up. Talk with the greek advisor and with the VP at GPB and see if a compromise can be worked out with what you already have planned for your group and what they are thinking about. Obviously, their plans are not as set since they are just forming.
I am confused on what they are wanting to do though. Would this be a "formal" type of recruitment where there were set days for set events and all women would got to all three groups? Or, is it more that all the groups would be in the same room/area and the girls would just talk to who they wanted to - more like an interest meeting? Or is it something inbetween.
Also, are they asking you to cancel your events completely or to just participate in theirs as well?
I think that you could use this as an opportunity to contact more women. Face it, Gamma Phi may pull them in, but not all the women are going to be interested in them. As you said, your chapters are different types of women so the women not interested in GPB may find the perfect fit with NBO.
I also really like your PR/Recruitment shirt idea. Be sure to get the t-shirts made and have the members out wearing them. You can always do the same shirt in two colors (if the girls want to buy two shirts) and then the could wear one every other week - all on the same day. I think there is great potential for PR with this idea as well for coming quarters COR.
If you would like to PM me - please do. I have served as the regional membership advisor for 6 years for the Texas area (until they changed the volunteer structure) so I have lots of experience with not only formal recruitment but also with COB/COR - large and small schools both.
