car stickers - what kind is popular where?

When I lived in Ohio, it seemed that Greeks almost always got spelled-out window stickers for their car. I have an "Alpha Xi Delta" one. But out here in Washington, I almost never see them. It seems like everyone has little Greek letter window stickers. Personally, I prefer the big ones, because they're more obvious and thus better advertising, plus non-Greeks know how to pronounce them. But maybe mine looks gauche and ostentatious to Seattleites!

Actually, that goes for colleges, too - I see "UW" or "WSU" rather than the whole college name, which seems different to me.

So what is the standard in your area, and what do you prefer?
