I have a very strong opinon some issues, one which resulted in big arguements with my high school biology teacher last year. I'm very pro-choice and I feel that women who get that have tons of kids, can't support them, etc... should get paid (in WIC credit or food stamp vouchers or something) to have abortions. This would prevent them from having kids and becoming a drain on our society, and it would give them a few extra dollars for their children. I realize this has some potential flaws in it as people would be like "So we are paying the money for hoes to have sex and get pregnant, so we are encouraging promicious sex and abortion by offering them money?!" No, the reimbursements would be in food stamps for something, and it would be an option for those who do not wish to have a child. I'm not saying 'free abortion to all, and if free isn't tempting enough, we will pay YOU!', but think maybe it's a start.

Another, less radical idea I think we should implement is offering women who have had tons of kids a free tubal ligation, or offering them vochers or money again to undergo the procedure. This too has it's problems as the procedure is usually permanant, and people may realize they want more kids, but if they are unable to take care of the kids they have, I feel they do not deserve more. My mother works with someone who offered to PAY for his step-daughter who is 29, has 4 kids, all by different fathers, and is on welfare to be 'fixed'. She refused and told him what if she finds someone she loves, and wants to have his babies, considering that the woman has been married twice in such a short time, and has two kids out of wedlock, I'd say her knack for picking 'the right one' is a little off. There are too many starving, poverty-ridden children in this country, and we need to take steps to irradicate this problem.
