There are classes at most state universities that are below the standard level of classes. ENG 101 is the standard entry-level English class. Most universities offer Eng. 100 or ENG 099. These are prerequisites if you didn't score high enough on the ENG portion of the ACT. You must take them before you take the standard ENG 101. Your brother is fine. That is not what I was talking about. He exceeded my minimum requirements (or what I think they should be). People with learning disabilities are still very intelligent people. I just hate the fact that people who really have no place in college are getting in through the remedial class programs and because so many people are getting in through these programs, it makes my degree just a piece of paper. I think college should be a privilege, not just something you do after high school.
