It was released here in England last Friday. I have to say - for some reason I prefer the first movie. "Chamber of Secrets" IS very, very good though - I think the acting is better this time around, and the special effects were fantastic!
I don't remember how long the first one was, but "Chamber of Secrets" did seem a little too long to me - I think it was just over two hours.
It is MUCH scarier, too - I would not take a young child to see this one!
