ktsnake-
A&M plays t.u. the last game of the year, the day after Thanksgiving in Austin. And i agree with you, i think that A&M SHOULD demolish texas, but i fear that we won't, simply because it's a game on the road, and i don't think RC has another big win in him this season.
I'm a realist, i don't expect us to go undefeated every year, but to me there are acceptable losses and unacceptable losses. I can stomach losing to Va Tech, Oklahoma, Nebraska, or, <shudder> even texas occasionally. But to me, A&M should rarely lose to schools like ITTech, Baylor, and Oklahoma State. This stems from the fact that A&M is one of the top public schools in the country, is in the top 5 in enrollment and size, and surely recieves enough money in donations in grants to buy tech outright. My knock on RC is not that he can't win the big game, because he has won big games before, my problem is that he doesn't instill a killer instinct into his teams that cause them to cruise over obviously less talented teams. See Florida, Nebraska of old, FSU ususally, etc.
As far as the talent deficiency between A&M and OU, i really think that the talent levels are rather similar, Stoops is just a much better motivator, is a much better coach, and gets tremendously more out of his athletes than RC. A&M is always at the top of Big XII schools with players in the NFL, you just would think we could parlay that into a little more success while they're here.
