Post Yes, I know it is the twelfth, but...

The windows of our souls are made with the good thoughts, the kindly intentions, the cheerful words, the needed encouragements, deeds of a useful life.

It is not the friendly smiles, and how helpful we have lived in the past 40 years, but how we will live from now on that determines how many windows will be opened to our souls to enjoy the beauties of the universe.

Founder Hattie Mae Redford, speaker at Sigma Gamma Rho's 40th anniversary

It is our responsibility and our role as sorority women to recognize the needs of the disadvantaged, to provide guidance to young people and to make the world a better place in which to live. Sigma has the responsibility of becoming increasingly more involved with the issues of our times and their effect on youth

Soror Gwendolyn S. Cherry, Legal Advisor, and the first African American woman to serve in the Florida Legislature.

Have a happy and blessed Founder's Day!
