Actually, that is so true. If he's a dick, I feel like I actually have something to deal with/work off of, or be mad about--but to just be treated as if I don't exist? No respect there.

In highschool one of the most humiliating breakups I had was when the guy began ignoring me, and he wrote me a note to tell me he wanted to break up with me--and gave it to another person to deliver, who was a good guy friend of mine. So of course the guy hands it to me with this sympathetic look on his face and says "sorry." Yuh, I knew he had read it before I even did--and so had like 20 other people. THAT hurt.

Lengthy tangent:
However, it was pretty sweet revenge when 5 other good guy pals of mine got pissed off at this dude and nearly beat the life out of him at track practice. I was injured that day so I went home instead of running, but I was told later that it took 9 guys to hold back my buddy Moose, who is normally very calm and collected and nonconfrontational. He just *snapped.* But that was in part due to some other issues in relation to that particular ex-male of mine.
