You know, for all you Democrats out there boohooing about our country going to hell in a handbasket, I ask you to take a look at the ridiculousness that ensued in the NJ Senate election. NJ Dems choose Bob Toricelli and because he's such a damn thief and crook, he has to resign b/c ethically, the whole state thinks he's awful. To counteract this move, 40 days before the election (and i'm being generous with 40 days...it was less), they get a 78 year old Democrat who retired from the Senate to run. And the old man wins!!!
Maybe the NJ Supreme Court felt they were helping NJ voters have a chance, but to ask a candidate to change their campaign with 40 days left to fight a guy who was pretty much like an incumbent (the man served 20 years in the Senate) is a bunch of shit. So if you want Democrats who screw everything up, I advise to move to Jersey
As for the Senate, I nearly burst into tears of joy watching Tom Daschle on the morning news shows cry the blues for his party. Guess his paycheck will be a little smaller come January!!
